Here are a few of my answers from the first exercise. I won't put all of it on here, partly because its personal and partly because I don't want to give the whole course away! Mostly, this post is going to be a little bit about me a my perspective....
I First Came Across Tarot When:
I was about 13 years old and my mum got a set. They were beautiful and I was instantly enchanted by them. They were the Tarot of The Old Path and they were coloured beautifully, with lots of fine detail. I can't remember my mum actually using them and I can't quite remember if she wrapped them in a cloth or not. I do remember getting my first tarot deck. It was the Mythic Tarot and rather than it coming from some mystical or bohemian shop, it came from a games shop in Colchester. The shop mostly sold board games and fancy chess sets but it also had few tarot decks. I wrapped my tarot in the cloth it came with (which I still have) and placed them carefully in a wooden box. The images on these cards were based on Greek and Roman myths and were quite pretty.
The High Priestess is the image that sticks in my mind from that deck. She is standing in a stone doorway. Long black hair and a pure white dress. She had large dark eyes that could see into your soul.
I didn't stick with this deck for very long because the deck I wanted most was the Tarot of the Old Path...... But it was my first deck and it still holds a special place in my mind.
The Reason I Want to Learn Tarot is:
I have been dabbling since I was 13 years old. I want to be able to read the cards without having to be surgically attached to a book.
I would like to be able to read for myself and others with confidence.
I want to feel more comfortable trusting my intuition and witchiness!
Heres how I feel about embarking on this journey:
Nervous.
Resolute.
Spiritual.
So, thats a little about me!
